School Clubs

At Wren Park, we endeavour to provide our pupils with opportunities to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities during their time at school — through sport, music to personal development and wellbeing. We believe that there are a whole range of benefits that come from involvement in these activities.

Being part of these groups or teams also provides a sense of belonging, with the extra-curricular activities offering an opportunity for our children to interact and socialise with others with similar interests and potentially build friendships outside of their year group.

There are a variety of paid and non-paid clubs on offer for children to join. Emails and letters to join these clubs are sent out in advance before each half term for you to book your child a place. Depending on the club, children might join on a first come first serve basis. If spaces are limited children who did not get to take part during a half term will be given the option to take part in the next term.  Please speak to the office if you would like further information about clubs.

After School Clubs

We have a variety of after school clubs at Wren Park. These clubs normally start in the second week back to school after returning from a break. All clubs run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Please collect your child promptly at 4.30pm from the main office doors where the staff member running the club will meet you to do a safe handover.

Piano, Flute, Guitar and Ukulele lessons *

Piano and flute lessons are provided by Katie Smith every Monday for children in KS2. In addition, we have Tim Wright who provides guitar and ukulele lessons every Thursday and Friday. Tim and Katie are very experienced music teachers and have been working at our school for a very long time, the children enjoy their lessons and it is lovely to see the progress the children make under their guidance.
