Assemblies
Please see below our assembly planner for 2024- 2025 school year and our singing assembly playlist plan.
Our whole school assembly planner is designed to provide meaningful, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences that align with our school values; British Values, the Protected Characteristics, and the UN Rights of the Child. Through carefully selected themes, we aim to foster a sense of respect, belonging, and personal development in our pupils, ensuring they grow into well-rounded, empathetic and informed individuals.
Each assembly has been planned to address key areas such as diversity, equality, well-being, historical and cultural awareness. However, we recognise the importance of flexibility and responsiveness to current affairs, emerging themes and pupil voice. As such, while we aim to follow the schedule, we will adapt as needed to ensure our assemblies remain relevant, impactful and reflective of the needs and interests of our school community.
By incorporating these assemblies into our school year, we aim to create a shared learning experience that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking and a deep understanding of the world around us.
The music selected in the Singing Assembly Playlist, was chosen to support themes in our curriculum, such as perseverance, friendship, and cultural awareness. By grouping songs into relevant categories, students can engage more deeply with the themes and connect them to their learning. Additionally, the inclusion of Jigsaw PSHE songs reinforces important social and emotional skills, promoting well-being and inclusivity.
